Good color development and no wasted color

This is my first NARS eyeshadow purchase. It's moisturizing and highly pigmented. I knew it had a bit too much glitter for me at my age and in a demanding job, so it's fine. The pigment is so intense that if I applied it normally, I'd look like an old lady, so I knew I'd need to adjust it. But the lid is so stiff! It made me wonder, "Am I opening this correctly?" It's fine for bare nails, but I doubt it would be possible for someone with beautiful nails to open it. I wonder if it'll loosen if I open and close it multiple times...

I was able to purchase these at a slightly cheaper price at the duty-free store. This was my first time using NARS eyeshadow, and the vibrant colors, with their international flair, were refreshing. The powder, both matte and shimmery, are moist and luxurious. Because I have relatively fair skin, only the top left shade can be used as a highlighter; the other shades, even the brighter ones, are quite pigmented. It's surprising for someone accustomed to recent Japanese and Korean cosmetics, but once you get used to it, you only need a small amount, and I found that they adhere well and don't smudge. It's not a palette that suits me the most (I'm good with cool tones, and this palette is probably warm), but the pink-orange shades and the powder texture, which allows me to blend them in darker or lighter shades, make it a comfortable and satisfying look. I also use the deep matte shades as eyeliner. Since there's almost no wasted color and it has a mirror, I take it with me when I travel (it's lighter than multiple four-color palettes), and I'm glad I bought it.

It's really good. It has all my favorite colors, so I choose a color depending on my mood each day. Just tapping it a little bit picks up a lot of color on the brush. I'd like to buy it again, but I don't think I'll run out anytime soon.
