2026/1 Update: My lips have been stinging from carmine for a while now, and while I haven't had any eyeshadow issues yet, I decided to be on the safe side and purchased the only carmine-free shade, "Steady Beige." (I'm sure the new Amber Honey shade will be perfect for warm autumn, though...). When I followed the instructions, the grayish-ish shade on the bottom left didn't work, so I'm using the other three shades. It's not my best, but I think it's okay for office makeup. I think it would probably look even better on cool-toned skin tones. I'm grateful to Etvos for offering such exciting colors that are tar-free, but it's tough now that more and more eyeshadows and lipsticks contain carmine. Is it really difficult to find yellowish shades that are carmine- and tar-free? [Previous Review] When using autumn colors as point makeup, they often feel a bit out of place, gaudy, or overpowering. I recently had my makeup checked in 16 sections, and was advised that while autumn is autumn, warmth and yellow are important, and that a less intense shade is better for my warm type. Since my skin type tends to be particularly prone to strong pigmentation, I'd be better off choosing cosmetics designed for spring. Searching for something soap-removable and tar-free, I found etvos. I was torn between Slow Beige and Ginger Camel, but ended up choosing Ginger Camel. The shimmer of the base color on the top left is fantastic. The yellow in the bottom right is nice, but perhaps a little too intense for me. But it doesn't weigh down my eyelids, and it delivers this vibrant color without any tar-based pigments. Thank you, etvos! Without a base, it fades and gradually disappears after 2-3 hours (but doesn't break down). However, if I use etvos' eye balm (champagne beige) as a base, it lasts until late afternoon. While it can be removed with soap, it does leave a lot of residue around the edges of my eyes, so I remove it with a point makeup remover. There are many other colors in the range that I'm interested in, but I can't use them all, so I'd be happy if they released a multi-color palette, which I've been seeing a lot of from other brands lately.
I'm not sure if I have cool or warm undertones, so I was torn between Amber Honey and Chiffon Pink, but I finally bought Chiffon Pink. It's not as fluorescent pink as it looks, and surprisingly blends in well. The beige shade on the top left was the most ideal of all the eyeshadows I've tried, both in color and texture. It smooths out dullness and unevenness, and tones up without looking too obvious, so the colors that follow really stand out. Using all four shades creates a spring-like, vibrant look that's incredibly cute. I gave up on Amber Honey because I thought it might blend in too well and not look like makeup, but every time I see it, I want it... What an exquisite honey color. I've tried out various singles and palettes with each new release, and I've never had any itchy or particularly dry eyes, so it's a lot of fun.
I have sensitive eyelids, and if the makeup doesn't suit me, my eyes get itchy and swollen, but this eyeshadow doesn't itch, so it's a relief. The color is beautiful even when applied thinly.
The color payoff and color retention are both excellent! Just by applying them in the correct order, you can create a modern, natural, and beautiful eye look! I bought it just to try it out, but I plan to buy it again.
I saw a review on social media and thought the color was cute and I could use it for work makeup, so I bought it. When I looked inside, I thought it was lighter than the photos in the review, but when I actually used it, the color was more vibrant than I expected and just right. It looks like it will become a staple in my work makeup routine.
