Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence is a Japanese tone-correcting sunscreen rated SPF50+ PA++++. The Blue shade carries a cool colour correction that counteracts sallow, yellow-toned dullness, leaving a brighter finish under or instead of makeup. The watery gel texture absorbs with no white cast and removes with ordinary cleanser.

A tone-up sunscreen rather than a plain one. The colour is corrective rather than coverage, so it adjusts overall tone without acting as a base makeup layer.
Blue specifically counters yellow. If your complaint is sallowness or a dull yellow cast, this is the shade for it. For redness, a green tone-up is the correct choice instead.

How to use
1. Apply as the last step of your morning skincare.
2. Spread an even layer across face and neck. Blend past the jaw so there is no visible edge.
3. Use a full sunscreen quantity. Applying less because of the colour will reduce the SPF.

Will it leave a blue cast on my skin?
It should not when blended properly, since the pigment is there to correct rather than to cover. On deeper skin tones a blue tone-up can read ashy if over-applied, so use less and blend outward. If you see a cast in daylight, that is a sign of too much product rather than the wrong shade.
Can I wear it instead of foundation?
For a light, even finish, yes, and many people do. It corrects overall tone but does not cover blemishes, redness or dark spots, since it has no real pigment coverage. Treat it as skin evening rather than base makeup, and spot conceal where needed.
Does the tint reduce the sun protection?
No. It is rated SPF50+ PA++++, the same as the untinted Skin Aqua sunscreens. What can reduce protection in practice is applying less because the colour looks strong. Use a full sunscreen quantity and blend it out rather than using a thin layer.
