Even the light version is quite rich, so it's perfect for winter. I apply it to my entire face as the final cap of my nighttime skincare routine. If I had the money, I'd use Hifumido's cream, but this year I wanted to keep it cheap, so I went with this one. The tube format makes it easy to dispense. However, the scent is a bit unique—not bad, but not my favorite. I like citrus scents, but it still feels unique. So, while it's not perfect, it's good value for money, so I might buy it again. Another low-cost winter cream I've tried is Futaamine Cream, but it's richer. I find it too sticky to use on my entire face, so I use it as an eye cream around my eyes, which tend to get especially dry during the day. While Zahne Cream can be used on the face, its smooth texture makes it a better choice for hand cream. I haven't tried Embryolisse and Matsuyama Yushi's moisturizing cream yet. I'll give it a try once I've finished using my Weleda.
It can be used on the whole body, but I bought it as a hand cream. It spreads very easily and a small amount is enough to moisturize. It's not sticky and is moisturizing. The citrus herb scent has a relaxing effect.
I used the normal version so much when it was first released that I bought it over and over again. The hand cream wasn't sticky at all, which I liked, so I bought Skin Food Light. Texture: Skin Food → Skin Food Light → Pomegranate Hand Cream → Hippophane. In other words, it's quite sticky. In this case, it might be better to apply the hand cream to your face. Scent: While the normal version of Skin Food masked the smell of the ingredients quite well, leaving a herbal and citrus scent, this one didn't quite mask it and smelled like old oils. I've never smelled Skin Food Light anywhere other than Suzykirei, so I don't know for sure, but sometimes the primer I received separates, and I suspect Atcosme doesn't sell their inventory very often, so I suspect they don't manage their products well.
The citrus scent is quite strong, but the texture is light and easy to use. It's moisturizing enough, and it's not sticky, so it doesn't interfere with your makeup, which is nice. However, it's not moisturizing enough for winter. It's compact, so it's easy to take with you on trips, but using it doesn't improve the health of your skin, and it's expensive for the amount of product, so naturally I won't be repurchasing it.
I bought this as a winter face cream. It didn't seem to suit my face, causing itchy bumps. Instead, I'm using it as a body cream on my knees and elbows, and it has helped with dryness, so I plan to continue using it. The scent is a strong herbal one, so it may not be to everyone's taste.
