I have thin, easily damaged hair that is prone to dryness, and my previous products no longer seemed to be very effective, so I started using this oil. The great thing about this oil is that it not only cares for your hair, but also your scalp! My scalp would get itchy more often due to the dryness, but massaging it with the oil has reduced the itching. I also have sensitive skin, so there are only a few cosmetics I can use, but I've been able to use this one without any irritation!
I learned that applying oil to hair and then applying heat to it is like adding oil to a frying pan, damaging it. While the method I'm about to describe might not be recommended, applying this to wet hair and massaging it into the scalp, then curling with a hair dryer and iron, I'm amazed at how volume and manageable the styling are. Apparently, there are now oils designed to be coated with a non-damaging formula before ironing, and the instructions say, "Prepare before styling," so I wonder if that's okay? I'm careful not to use it continuously, but the results are completely different from before. Up until now, I've styled my hair with hair oil after ironing. However, I was concerned about my hair's dryness and frizz, and using too much oil creates a different nuance. So, applying this oil first means I don't need to use any styling products afterward. I was worried about the brand image and the scent, and whether it would irritate my scalp or eyes, but that hasn't happened, so I'll keep using it! So far, my hair hasn't been damaged.
I used a mini sample bottle. I tried it after bathing and for daytime styling. It felt heavy after bathing, but during daytime styling, it was refreshing and not sticky or heavy at all. It doesn't have dramatic effects, but the ingredients give me peace of mind, as I can easily rub any oil I get on my hands, and I don't have to worry about my hair getting irritated even if it touches my face. The scent has a refreshing top note, but later develops a sweet, incense-like quality. It's similar to incense. I don't like artificial scents lingering on my hair, so I was happy to find a natural scent. However, I did notice a slight oxidized smell at the end of the day. I don't notice it when I'm not using the hair oil, so I think it's probably the oil. However, Athletia's hair care products suit my skin, so I was happy they released a hair oil.
