The SK-II lotion smelled so bad I couldn't use it, but this isn't like that! It doesn't tone up my skin in any weird way, so it's perfect to use before a primer or foundation with low UV protection.
I bought this UV sunscreen with Viterra formula on the day it was released, as there was no reason not to use it. Since it's positioned as a sunscreen and I use a separate primer, I chose this one over CC sunscreen. I like how it spreads easily and doesn't feel sticky. It feels like a cross between a lotion and a light cream. While many UV sunscreens can be rough or leave a persistent oily feeling on the skin, this one doesn't. The feel and effectiveness are undeniable, so I'm debating whether to buy it again this year. The reason I'm hesitant is because it stings my eyes. I wonder if it evaporates over time? My eyes are watery...if it didn't sting, I'd give it a 6.
The new SK-II sunscreen. The reviews were so good I bought the actual product. It's incredibly comfortable to use. It's not sticky or gritty, and it does a great job. As others have said, it didn't have much of a toning effect or coverage. However, if you're going to be using a primer and foundation, a plain shade like this might be better. I'd like to try the other colors as well.
It's really good!! Even when I'm in a hurry, I can spread it on my palm and use the warmth of my hands to press it in place for a beautiful, even application. I think Hiro-sama said that at first...! 9,900 yen for 30g!? I thought that at first, but I keep buying this. I use a different sunscreen when I'm at home, but when I'm at work, I'm quick, so this is my only choice.
