I love the scent of Guerlain. It blends well with my skin, has natural coverage, and leaves a very glossy finish. Those who like high coverage or are sensitive to scents might find it difficult, though...
I'd been wanting to try this foundation, but I couldn't decide on the color, so I was hesitant to buy the full product. Then, by chance, I got a few days' worth of sample. My naturally fair skin has dull, yellowish undertones, and I'm aging. It's just as comfortable as I'd hoped, and it's fantastic. It has a smooth, liquid texture that spreads easily, and while it has a faint scent, it's not unpleasant. Rather than providing full coverage, it helps to smooth out imperfections and make my skin look beautiful. It's not drying, doesn't dull even in the evening, and doesn't leave my skin feeling tired even after removing my makeup! There's absolutely nothing to say! The only downside is that it doesn't offer UV protection. That's why I'm deducting one star. Lately, even with a primer that offers UV protection, I still end up sunburned and developing dark spots and freckles, so I've started applying a generous amount of sunscreen, then primer and foundation on top. I use Kosedeco CC Cream in lavender as my primer, and for me, the finish doesn't change much with or without it. I use it to tone up my complexion. When I was in my 20s and 30s, I automatically thought of Guerlain as a luxury cosmetics brand for ladies, but now that I'm in my 40s, I realize I'm at the age where I should be using Guerlain. I love bee motifs, and I buy them whenever I see them in accessories, but even so, I'm starting to pay more attention to Guerlain!
When I went to the counter to get some Guerlain eyeshadow and lipstick, I had them apply this foundation to my base makeup. It happened to be that my foundation was about to run out, and the feel and price of the foundation seemed just right, so I decided to buy it right then and there. I've been told a few times that I have extremely thin skin, so I can't use thick foundations or concealers. But this foundation lays on my skin like a thin film, and even on areas where imperfections aren't fully covered, it doesn't look unnatural, even when I apply it over my face. And best of all, it's got a nice glow and really brightens up my complexion. Also, someone on YouTube shared a similar comment: It doesn't crumble cleanly! Well, I haven't used it in the middle of summer, so I can't really say for sure, but this fall and winter, even when I wear it all day, it just fades away cleanly, and I almost never feel like it crumbles. So, why is it a minus one? It's the scent. I get headaches, can't wear perfume, and I only use half the amount of fabric softener, but unless you're someone who's sensitive to scents, I think it's totally acceptable.
I won't be buying it again. I think it's gentle on the skin, but it has no coverage whatsoever. It's fine when my skin is in good condition, but when I'm not feeling well, like when I'm sleep-deprived, it really shows my imperfections. I should have bought the matte version given my age. The feel is similar to SUQQU's old, smooth liquid foundation.
The scent is quite strong... It gives a semi-matte finish rather than a glossy finish. The color is 0.5N. Compared to 0N in the store, 0.5N seemed less yellow and brighter. I think it has a decent amount of coverage.
