What it is

We cultivate 500kg of pesticide-free lemongrass leaves every year at Cape Sata. Cape Sata in Kagoshima Prefecture's subtropical climate allows lemongrass to thrive. The harvested lemongrass is delivered fresh to our factory and steam-distilled the same day. Our lemongrass is harvested annually from late May to early December, and flash-frozen in winter and early spring. Regarding our carefully crafted essential oil blend, one of Botanic Canon's brand concepts is the scent of natural essential oils. We create fragrances tailored to each theme from over 40 essential oils. This time, our theme is a gorgeous, exotic fresh herb scent. The top note is bergamot, the middle note is lemongrass oil, neroli, and eucalyptus, and the base note is sandalwood, creating an even more luxurious feel. Why do we use distilled water in our soap shampoo? Soap shampoos generally have an alkaline pH of 10 or higher. However, herbal distilled water is acidic, with a pH of 3.5 to 4.5. Using distilled water without diluting it neutralizes it. When hair or scalp is heavily soiled, the alkaline soap shampoo can react with the dirt, creating an "acidic soap" state that can leave hair feeling greasy. In such cases, we recommend using a slightly larger amount of soap shampoo to quickly lather and then rinsing immediately. The key to using soap shampoo is to not let the lather sit; once it's fully lathered, rinse it off immediately. Why is rinsing absolutely necessary after a soap shampoo? Even if you've thoroughly moisturized your hair with a soap shampoo, towel-drying it can cause the open cuticles to rub against each other, resulting in loss of moisture and increased static electricity. Therefore, applying an acidic rinse to alkaline hair neutralizes it, smoothing it out and retaining moisture. Even so, it's still widely believed to be harsh on long hair. Developing an effective treatment for soap shampoos: "We want to neutralize alkaline hair while also providing oil and a natural coating! And yet, can we make something that is 100% made from natural ingredients?" This difficult theme was solved by our sister product, Lemongrass Hair Treatment. This treatment has a light, cream-like feel and "doesn't necessarily need to be rinsed off." It uses a natural coating agent made from corn, which was essential for its development! Check out the Lemongrass Hair Treatment product guide to find out the secret! POINT: The double-walled peel-off bottle, which is also used in our skincare line, locks in the natural scent for a long time.
