It has the same coverage as Por Jo! It tones up, evens out uneven skin tone, covers pores, and moisturizes. It doesn't go on as dark as Por Jo, but it does. Since to/ne products often come in cute containers, I wish the primer had a cuter design. Also, it's in a bottle, so it's not portable.
I've been using this product for about two weeks. I use it almost daily. I fell in love with the texture of the tester at the store, but after reading this review, I prepared myself to fight the flaky mess you've all been experiencing. It's true, applying it with my fingers leaves a white residue. After some trial and error, I found that using an egg-shaped makeup sponge solved the problem. After applying the first stroke (with my fingers), I patted it in with the sponge, which allowed it to blend seamlessly into my skin. After trying this method for three days in a row, I realized that the softness and dryness of the sponge were also important. This method has stuck. I wash (or wet) the sponge the night before, wrap it in a disposable face towel, wring it out, and set it aside to dry. Without this step, the sponge won't be the fluffy, ideal condition for applying this product. What I mean is: 1) If the sponge is too dry, it will absorb all the liquid. 2) If I wet the sponge right before my makeup routine, the surface of the sponge will be too wet. And, most importantly, don't rub the liquid in after applying it. I think the key is to gently pat the sponge in a straight line from the top until it blends in. This is still my amateur method, but I really wanted to solve the flaky problem, so I'm using this method now and I'm finally satisfied with the product. I really like the translucent base, so I don't want it to get lost in the white residue! I'm glad I persisted.
I purchased it from the official Tone website. It has a fresh texture and can be applied beautifully with your fingers. The coverage was also sufficient for me, who wears light makeup. It also suited my pale, spring-toned skin. It didn't irritate my pale skin. I then dusted on Snow Beauty powder to complete my base makeup. It was the perfect product for my sensitive skin, who wanted to go without foundation in the summer. The scent is also subtle, so it doesn't bother me.
I tried this twice at Cosme Kitchen and purchased it along with the powder. It has a liquid texture similar to a serum. It spreads really well, so one pump is enough for my entire face. I usually apply my primer by hand, but using a puff seems better. It feels more like a liquid foundation than a cream primer. When I asked about a non-foundation primer, I was recommended Flawless, one of the two tone primers, for its increased coverage and SPF. It feels like a cross between a foundation and a primer, covering uneven skin tone beautifully and fitting perfectly. I think it might be suitable for a no-foundation look. My non-foundation base makeup: to/one Base Luminescence Flawless, ADDICTION Skin Reflect Fix Concealer 002, to/one Luminous Veil Face Powder 01. However, when I switched from a pink primer to this one, I noticed a strong yellow color when using it at home. I previously used Clé de Peau Beauté's Voir Correcture n, which felt different and strange, but now I like both finishes! It's also good value for money, so I think I'll be able to use it for a long time. I'll probably buy it again in the future, but I'm reluctant to give up the Credo, so it's a tough decision.
The loose texture spreads easily and is thin, but I think it has just the right amount of coverage and moisturizing power. I use a sponge because applying it with my hands can easily become uneven. I like that it doesn't contain any pearls.
