How to use
If using a dry sponge: Take an appropriate amount of foundation onto the sponge and spread it evenly. If using a wet sponge (only applies to foundations that can be used with or without water), soak the sponge in water and wring it out tightly before use. If the sponge becomes dirty, it will be difficult to apply foundation, so always keep it clean. If the sponge becomes dirty, use Shiseido Sponge Cleaner N (sold separately) or gently press it with a mild detergent diluted in lukewarm water. After rinsing thoroughly to remove all detergent, drain the water and dry well in the shade before use.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

I bought this sponge as it seemed to be suitable for liquid foundation and was readily available at the drugstore. Its thickness seemed similar to that of a powder foundation, but I wish it were a little thinner so it would be easier to bend and use in small areas like the sides of the nose. It absorbs quite a bit of moisture, so what you apply gets absorbed easily and becomes thin, and it feels like it's absorbing the makeup rather than blending it in. It's better than a large-capacity sponge, but not by a long way, so I'd like to try a different sponge next time.
I keep buying this because the foundation adheres better than other products.

My usual sponge was out of stock, so I bought this one, which was similar in price, but it wasn't very pleasant to use. I couldn't spread the foundation properly, and the sponge didn't glide very well. I immediately bought my usual one.
