As a 30-year Marikuwa user, I have a request for Marikuwa: If you're discontinuing a product, please at least let our members know in advance (preferably a few months in advance) (tears). I can't count the number of times I've been heartbroken when powder products are discontinued and then renewed. It's true that the quality of the product improves with each renewal, and I admire the company's efforts, but as a user, it's frustrating when my favorites suddenly become unavailable. That's why I'm giving it 6 stars (I nearly lost my mind when the loose powder was suddenly reduced to two shades, and when the colored mascara, which was unrivaled by other brands at the time, was also reduced to two shades). So, if you need this powder or want to try it, head to the online shop. It's already gone from stores. I bought two more online for now. I'm sure other brands' pressed powders are great products, too, if you hold the tester in your hand and touch it, you'll understand. But this powder is amazing, especially in the evening, when I lightly run the puff over my tired face in the mirror and it literally revives it. I can't resist it... Will Marikwa relaunch first, or will I develop a different product first? (But there's still time for two and a half more products, so I'll probably apologize to Marikwa in my heart after the relaunch.)
I used No. 02, Warm Beige, which creates a healthy, radiant complexion. It contains really fine pearls, so if you use this brush to finish off your look, your entire face will look radiant. Of course, it's also great to use it in specific areas as a highlighter! I also like that it's a pressed type. Mariko-chan's powders tend to be quite fine and tend to fly around, so I'm glad that they've switched to a pressed type!
Cool Pink is a color that seems to suit cool-toned skin tones, but I'm also a warm-toned skin tones, so it definitely gives my skin a translucent finish. The delicate powder gives off a fine pearly shimmer. I think it would also look good layered as a highlighter, softly applied all over the face. 02 is a healthy beige. Both colors are easy to use.
Added May 27, 2025: I bought the brush and used it, so I'm adding a rating of 4. My rating remains the same. It's very light and gives a slight glow. It's also good for natural makeup.....................................................................................I purchased the set that came with the case. The brush was sold separately, so I will purchase it later. It has a smooth texture for a powder. I think the pressed powder is a bit hard. It has a subtle shimmer. I will add a review once I get the proper brush.
