What it is
This original soap dish is crafted using the techniques of Hasami ware, a ceramic style with over 400 years of history. It comes in two colors evocative of natural hues, matching the deep lapis lazuli blue of the "Clearing Soap," which will be released at the same time. Its rounded shape creates a modern yet traditional design that blends seamlessly into everyday life. What is Hasami ware? It is a type of ceramic crafted in Hasami Town, located in the north-central part of Nagasaki Prefecture. Hasami Town is adjacent to Arita Town, the birthplace of Arita ware, Japan's first porcelain. Its porcelain production is said to have begun around the same time as Arita ware, and while it has a history of over 400 years, it has long been produced as everyday tableware, a familiar part of everyday life. Even today, Hasami ware continues to embrace trends and its unconventional designs remain popular, making it a popular choice for everyday use, especially among young people, as an affordable option. Coloring inspired by nature Available in two colors: "Forest Green," which evokes the image of lush forests, and "Sand Beige," which evokes the image of the magnificent earth. Colored with a glaze made from natural minerals, it pairs beautifully with the lapis lazuli-colored "Clearing Soap." Modern design that blends into everyday life The organic impression of the Pororoca is expressed in its rounded form, creating a design that blends seamlessly into everyday life as a modern yet traditional everyday craft. The wave-shaped design allows for good drainage, making it easy to use in bathrooms and on washbasins.
