How To Use

Apply an appropriate amount evenly to your skin. (We recommend applying multiple layers to prevent uneven application.) If you use too little, you will not get sufficient sun protection. Reapply frequently to maintain effectiveness. In particular, reapply after sweating at the beach, in the mountains, or while playing sports, or after wiping with a towel. To remove, rinse with a cleanser.

It's good for everyday use. I use it as a makeup base in the summer. It keeps my makeup on well and doesn't burn. However, I accidentally used it at the beach and got burned. It's difficult to reapply. If you wipe wet skin with a towel and then apply it, it becomes a white, floating, emulsified lotion that comes off easily. I don't burn every year at the beach with Anessa, but this year, for the first time in a while, I did. It's a versatile waterproof product for everyday use, but it didn't work for leisure activities. What a shame.

I have dry, sensitive, combination skin that's always irritated. Sunscreens that don't suit my skin sting immediately, but this one didn't cause any problems at all. I use sunscreen all year round, and personally, I highly recommend this one; it has no particular flaws. It doesn't feel greasy, and it pairs well with affordable primers like Cezanne and Media. It doesn't interfere with makeup or easily smudges. It also keeps me from burning. Even when I use it on my body, it doesn't stain my clothes. I tend to get dry skin when I use sunscreen, but this one didn't cause any problems. I recommend it to anyone with sensitive or dry skin. It's a great deal considering it's available for under 1,000 yen and has this kind of feel.

Due to the nature of my work, I use Anessa gel (which has a cream-like texture) in the middle of summer, but in the fall and winter I switch to products with even more moisturizing effects. I bought this when the weather started to get cooler in the mornings and evenings and when I had run out of Anessa. The texture when I applied it to my skin was similar; it felt like a gel cream and didn't sting my eyes, leaving a refreshing texture. Gels sting my eyes and make me cry uncontrollably, so I couldn't use the easy-to-spread types from Skin Aqua (the cheaper version), Nivea, Suncut, Biore, etc. It's colorless, the scent doesn't last that long, and it feels moisturizing. I also liked that it can be washed off with soap, just like Anessa. However, it does seem to thin out when you wipe away sweat, and the rubbed areas got a little sunburned. It doesn't wash away light sweat, so I think it's good value for money. It might be a little weak for situations where you have to wipe away sweat in the middle of summer... I'm prone to prickly heat, so I was able to use it without any stinging, so I think it will be an option for me in the future.
