The price seems a little high, but after using it, it makes sense. I usually use an Esprique foundation brush, but this one is easier to use on larger areas like the cheeks and forehead, and when you hold the brush upright, it's easy to use around the wings of your nose and in the hollows of the eyes at the base of your nose. The size is also great for easy portability.
It's a reliable item that perfectly matches any type of foundation! It saves time, so I find myself reaching for it again and again.
It's like a brush for cream and liquid foundation, but I use it to apply pressed powder in the morning. It picks up powder lightly and quickly. If you put too much pressure on your hand, the stiff brush will pick up too much powder. The angled cut allows you to apply powder firmly to the edges of your nose.
I bought this because the beauty advisor used it when I had my base makeup touched up for a cheek touch-up, and it left no brush marks and gave a beautiful finish. I had been applying Shiseido serum foundation by hand up until then, so switching to a brush has been great because it keeps my hands clean. It takes a little skill to avoid leaving brush marks, but it gives a beautiful finish. Above all, this flat type is easy to use! I wasn't at all interested in the Shiseido red foundation brush that she also used for a touch-up, but this one is more compact and easier to use, so even though it's a different brand, I was right to buy this one. (I wash it once a week and I don't have to worry about shedding.)
I want to keep them clean, so I wash them with makeup detergent, but they shed a lot. The bristles also fall out from where I apply foundation and stick to my face, which is a real hassle when I'm putting on makeup. Foundation spreads well, though.
