What it is
SENKA Hada Senka Perfect Whip Collagen in a is a Japanese foaming face wash in a 120g tube. It builds a dense micro foam carrying four moisturizing ingredients including water-soluble collagen and glycerin, aimed at skin that feels tight after cleansing. Lather roughly two centimetres of product with water, wash, then rinse. Pure floral scent.

The Collagen-in version rather than the standard Perfect Whip. It adds collagen GL and water-soluble collagen and is aimed specifically at post-wash tightness.
The dense micro foam is the point of the range. Lathered properly the foam does the cleansing, so your hands never need to drag across the skin.
Pure floral scent, against the white floral of the standard Perfect Whip. Formula and scent are the only differences between them.

How to use
1. Wet your hands and face with lukewarm water.
2. Squeeze out roughly two centimetres of product into your palm.
3. Lather thoroughly with water until the foam is dense and holds its shape. This step matters more than the washing.
4. Wash using the foam rather than your fingers, keeping pressure off the skin.
5. Rinse thoroughly.

What is the difference between this and the standard Perfect Whip?
This is the Collagen-in version. It adds collagen GL and water-soluble collagen alongside glycerin and isomerized sugar, and is aimed at skin that feels tight after cleansing. The standard Perfect Whip focuses on texture refinement rather than post-wash moisture. This one carries a pure floral scent, the standard one a white floral.
Does the collagen in a cleanser actually do anything?
Not in the way a collagen supplement or injectable would. Collagen molecules are far too large to penetrate the skin, and in a rinse-off product the contact time is under a minute. What it does is act as a humectant that reduces the tight, stripped feeling after washing. Judge it on how your skin feels afterwards, not on structural claims.
Why does it matter how much I lather it?
Because the foam is what cleanses. Dense foam lifts oil and debris while keeping your fingers off the skin, so there is no friction. Used unlathered straight from the tube it cleanses less effectively and drags on the face. If you struggle to build foam by hand, a foaming net costs very little and makes a noticeable difference.
Will it remove makeup?
No, and it is not meant to. This is a second cleanse, used after an oil or balm cleanser on days you wear makeup or sunscreen. On a bare-skin day it works alone.

US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

It lathers well and is easy to use. It's less irritating than other Senka face washes, so I use it in the morning. However, it's still too harsh for me, so using it every day might irritate my skin.
I've been trying out different products in the Perfect Whip series. [Foaming] Very good [Scent] Only a faint scent [After washing] It doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, but it doesn't feel as moisturizing as I expected. I was expecting it to be much more moisturizing than the regular type, so I ended up with a mediocre result. I feel like the regular type leaves my skin feeling smoother.
Even though it contains collagen, it didn't really make a difference. If anything, I think the blue Perfect Whip is more moisturizing and suits me better.
