What it is
Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel is a Japanese sunscreen gel rated SPF50+ PA++++ for face and body. It uses Rohto's Light Resistant Capsule NEO, which encapsulates the UV filter so protection degrades more slowly in sunlight, plus three types of hyaluronic acid. It spreads like water and washes off with soap.

How to use
1. Apply as the last step of your morning routine, after moisturizer.
2. Spread an even layer over face and body. Too thin a layer will not deliver the stated SPF.
3. Build a second layer over the first to avoid patchy coverage.
4. Reapply every two to three hours outdoors, and after sweating or towelling dry.
5. Remove with ordinary soap or facial cleanser. No oil cleanser needed.

Do I need an oil cleanser to remove this?
No. It is formulated to come off with ordinary soap or your usual facial cleanser, which is one of the main reasons people choose it over waterproof sunscreens that need a dedicated remover. Wash normally and check along the hairline and jaw, where sunscreen most often gets missed.
What is Light Resistant Capsule NEO?
It is Rohto's name for encapsulating the UV filter, in this case bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine with silica. Most chemical UV filters degrade as they absorb sunlight, which is part of why reapplication matters. Encapsulating the filter slows that breakdown, so protection holds up better across a day outdoors.
Can I use it on my face under makeup?
Yes. The gel texture is light and settles quickly, and it is designed for face and body. Give it two or three minutes to set before applying base makeup. If you want something built specifically for wear under makeup, the Tone Up UV Essence in the same range has a smoother finish.
Is it waterproof?
It is described as super waterproof in Japan, but water resistance is not the same as permanence. Sweating, swimming and towel drying all remove sunscreen. Reapply after any of those regardless of the waterproof rating, and every two to three hours during continuous sun exposure.

US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.
