I used it as a lip primer. It's fragrance-free, which is great. The packaging is lovely too.

Perfect for moisturizing before applying lipstick! Lip balm only prevents dryness, and even if you apply lipstick on top, it tends to dry out over time, but this Mellow Fit Balm creates a firm, melting oil film that makes a huge difference in how long your lipstick lasts. It also smooths out any roughness in vertical lines, leaving your lips smooth and silky. It's positioned as a lipstick primer... but having it makes a big difference. It's expensive compared to lip balm, but I think it's worth buying.

I bought it as a lip primer because it's clear, and it was a blast! It's not sticky and easy to layer on top of lipstick, the color seems to last longer, and best of all, it evens out the base of your lips, giving you a beautiful, even color. It's a bit pricey to use as a regular lip balm, but I really want to use it. I also like the luxurious feel of the case. The snap-fit lid is quite satisfying. However, if you put the lid on the wrong way, it can be a bit of a hassle to have to re-screw it...

I bought this because I wanted a base for applying matte lipstick. Rather than moisturizing my lips, it left them feeling soft and moisturized, which I felt made the lipstick I applied afterward less slippery. While it does have a decent moisturizing effect, I don't think this lipstick will do the trick if your lips are already dry and chapped. I usually apply Vaseline to moisturize my lips before using this. As for the all-important color retention, I didn't expect it to improve dramatically. It does adhere better, but it does wear off after meals. Compared to regular lip balm, I'd say this lip balm lasts longer. It doesn't seem to have any outstanding effects, but the luxurious packaging and non-slip feel make it a product I'll find myself wanting to use.

[Packaging] The magnetic snap closure is a nice touch, and the gold color is elegant. I always feel bad having to throw it away after use, so I hope it comes in a refillable form. [Scent] It's odorless. [Texture] There are many lip balms, lipsticks, and lip oils, but I've never found anything else that's this thin and non-sticky yet so moisturizing. If your lips feel dry in the afternoon after applying lipstick, you can apply it on top for added moisture and shine. [Overall Review] The beauty advisor recommended it to me, and I thought 4,000 yen for a lipstick was too much, but once I started using it, I couldn't resist its comfort. However, it seems to run out quickly, so I'll give it a 6-star rating. I've repurchased more than five bottles so far. I keep two on hand, one for my morning makeup routine and one for work, and one for extra storage.
