What it is
Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel is a Japanese sunscreen gel rated SPF50+ PA++++ in a 70ml bottle. The watery gel texture spreads over face and body without a white cast, doubles as a makeup base, and is super waterproof while still removing with soap. Lightly scented with white lily of the valley.
The gel of the Aqua Rich pair, not the essence. It is slightly more cushioned and covers larger areas more easily, which is why it is sold for face and body rather than face alone.
Super waterproof, confirmed by Kao over an eighty minute water resistance test, yet still designed to come off with soap.
Lightly fragranced with white lily of the valley. If you want the same protection unscented in texture and feel, the Watery Essence is the fragrance-light alternative.

How to use
1. Apply as the last step of your morning skincare, after moisturizer.
2. Spread a little at a time and blend evenly. Applying too little will not deliver SPF50+.
3. Let it dry fully before dressing, and keep it off clothing while wet.
4. Reapply every two to three hours outdoors, and after sweating or towelling.
5. Remove with a facial cleanser or body wash.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

Since I'm going to the beach and the pool this time, I bought the gel type because I heard it was less likely to burn. The result... I lost at the beach and the pool. I reapplied it every two hours, but I still got a bad tan. My kids, who get tanned all the time, didn't get red or hurt after applying it. But it wasn't strong enough for adult skin, which is always diligently taking precautions against sunburn. It doesn't have the typical sunscreen smell, and it doesn't leave a white cast. It doesn't feel tight, so it seems like it would be good for walking around town.
I use this all year round! I always apply it to my face before applying makeup. It doesn't irritate my skin and spreads easily, so this is the sunscreen I need!

It's enough for everyday use. However, it turns white on clothes and on black cars... It's sticky, so maybe it's not the best choice?
It doesn't feel unpleasant when applied to the skin. I'm not sure if it effectively protects against sunburn, but it doesn't tire the skin.
