I bought this because of the limited-time bonus that came with it. When you take it with the spatula, it's a soft, solid product, but as you apply it to your skin and swirl it around, it melts and turns into an oil. Watching it melt is so much fun! When I have time, I use it in the bath as a relaxing massage. My skin feels so much more moisturized after use than with oil cleansers, which is great. Also, since it's cold in the fall and winter, and I'm prone to feeling cold, cream cleansers tend to be too cold at first, which is a pain, but the balm isn't cold at all, so I can use it even if my hands are cold! I think the balm is the best for a relaxing makeup remover in the fall and winter! When I'm short on time, I still use oils and sheet masks, but the advantage of the balm is that I can massage my makeup away while I'm using it, so I'll probably be using it a lot more during the cold season!
A cleansing balm with a moisturizing finish! [Advantages] - Moisturizing finish. - Removes makeup thoroughly! - As you'd expect from Shu Uemura's Ultima series, it leaves your skin feeling uniquely clean. It's moist and supple, but still removes makeup. [Disadvantages] - In terms of convenience, Ultima Cleansing Oil is easier to use with the pump. - In terms of cost-effectiveness, with the balm, you can just remove as much as you want (lol), so I feel like it's not so good. - I thought that if it was an oil, it had to be Shu, but I feel like the balm didn't have to be this one... It's not bad, though...
Well, I think oil is the winner for cleansing. I care about how the lotion penetrates, so I don't want to rub it too much, but I think oil is the best for removing it thoroughly.
It removes makeup thoroughly and has good moisturizing power!
