I thought EST would be fine, so I bought it without even trying it at the counter. It's dewy... or maybe it's just that it gives your skin a cyborg-like finish. It reminds me of the dewy skin models on magazine covers. But the thing that bothers me the most is my nose! The foundation just keeps falling into my pores and making them look dirty. I think it would suit those who use highlighters in their everyday makeup and want a glowing complexion, but I'm not sure if it's suitable for everyday use...
I personally think this foundation is good, but I wonder if it's not popular? I think it's a powder foundation with the adhesion of a cream. It's not powdery at all, and it adheres perfectly to the skin the moment you apply it. No matter how much you apply it, it doesn't feel thick at all. It has a dewy finish, so I think it makes your skin look brighter. However, it doesn't have much coverage, so I also use concealer to hide blemishes on my cheeks, and I also use a tinted primer. At my age, I've come to prefer a natural-looking finish, even if it shows a few imperfections, rather than the obvious feeling that I've applied a lot of makeup, so I think this is the finish I'm most looking for at the moment. However...it's a bit pricey, and I wish it was a little cheaper.
I have fair, warm-toned skin and a spring undertone. I used the sample (OC201). It says, "It beautifully accentuates the bone structure and creates a three-dimensional finish," and it truly does. It's not powdery at all, and it gives the impression of applying liquid foundation and then dusting on loose powder. It also has a subtle, natural sheen and is light and sheer. It says no primer is required, but I applied it over La Roche-Posay's clear sunscreen. It does clog pores a little, especially around the sides of my nose, so I might not reach for it on busy mornings. However, it leaves a beautiful finish on my cheeks and other areas. I'm a fan of thin application, so I didn't notice any issues other than the above. If you're experiencing discomfort with this product, perhaps applying a small amount is the key to a beautiful finish. I was wondering how it would turn out, as reviews have shown mixed reviews, but this one does have its share of annoying aspects. Still, each of the est foundations is incredibly good. Brands that focus on advertising and design tend to be more appealing because of their flashy designs, but I've belatedly discovered that est is a low-key yet incredibly high-quality foundation! I think I'll only choose est foundation from now on. If I were to buy it, I would go for BE300. I highly recommend it!
I bought this last fall and used it until early spring. I took a break, but then summer ended and I was unsure what foundation to use, so I came back to it. It's amazing! I love that it's a powder, yet it creates a thin, liquid-like finish. It's so moisturizing that it feels a little heavy in spring and summer. It's especially recommended for fall and winter! I use a very moisturizing skincare and primer, and this foundation goes on beautifully when applied thinly with a brush. To achieve a thin, liquid finish, you need a sponge, but applying powder with a brush is easier. On days when my skin is a little redder, applying it little by little provides natural coverage. And even layering doesn't make it look thick. It even has a glow. It's powder. It's amazing... I recommend this to anyone looking for a powder foundation that's truly powder-free. I love it so much that I had to write a review, even though I usually just read reviews! I have a lighter skin tone and am concerned about yellowish undertones, so the bright pink shades are a nice plus. I want to use this powder foundation for the rest of my life.
My best powder foundation! I usually use liquid or cream foundations, but after reading the reviews, I was intrigued and bought this one. It's so glossy, it's hard to believe it's a powder foundation! It's so lustrous. When I look in the mirror and turn my face 180 degrees, the surface looks glossy. It's a semi-solid powder foundation, and as expected, solid foundations offer great coverage. While solid foundations can sometimes make pores more noticeable, this one makes them appear smooth and disappear. It fully covers the uneven skin tone I have, even though I have severe dullness. When I use it as a tone-up primer, it gives me a glossy, porcelain-like complexion. Because it's a powder, it's easy to apply, yet gives a carefully finished look. Reviews are mixed. It doesn't blemish or bunch up. I apply all my powders with Eversoft, and it might work well with my skin. If you experience unevenness, try switching from the included puff to Eversoft. It claims to contain oil, but I don't find it very moisturizing. The gloss feels more pearly than oil-based. It adheres so well, it feels like a thin layer is on my skin. Therefore, those with dry skin may find it slightly drying. It gives a more radiant glow to liquid foundation than powder. It has a natural skin-like glow, making it a fake foundation that makes your bare skin look beautiful but also makes you think, "You're wearing makeup, right?" I didn't use highlighter when I used this. Judging from the adhesion, it seems to be resistant to summer sweat. It's also resistant to sebum buildup, and I was able to touch it up beautifully by wiping off the oil with a tissue and adding a little more. It also seems good for touching up makeup when using liquid foundation. It brings back radiance to skin that has lost its vitality in the afternoon. I use multiple foundations, so I'm not sure when I'll finish using it all, but if I do, I'll buy it again.
