I received a sample, so I tried it. It has color, but when I spread it, it turns out to be quite white. I took it out intending to use it all up, but when I spread it all over my face, my complexion became very pale. Since it prevents shine, it seems better to use it in specific areas, such as around the nose.
I have dry, inner-dry skin (although I've always considered myself oily). I finally found a primer that blocks blue light and prevents shine. Since I started staring at two computer screens at work, I've tried a variety of blue light-blocking sunscreens and primers, including Dior and Clé de Peau. However, they all ended up shining, smudging, and looking unsightly by lunchtime. In the evening, I couldn't even meet someone without touching up my makeup. I really envy people whose skin suits Dior and other brands. After much research, I decided to give up on blue light blocking or accept the shine, and finally purchased this product with high hopes. Of course, it still doesn't prevent shine, but it's much less unsightly. I wish the SPF was a little higher. I apply this after my skincare routine and finish with a powder like YSL All Hours Liquid or NARS. I plan to use MAC primer on days when I'm not exposed to much blue light, and this one on work days.
It's not particularly shine-resistant, but it doesn't break down in any weird way and it doesn't feel too harsh on the skin, which is nice. I didn't switch to other primers, and before I knew it, I'd used it all up, so I bought it again. It brightens my skin tone a little, but not so much that it makes my skin look white and casts, so it's easy to use.
I don't usually worry about shine unless it's midsummer, but I bought this because I was worried about my makeup running due to moisture from my breath and body heat after wearing a mask for so long. I've used a few anti-shine primers from Primavista and CEZANNE in the summer, and this primer has exactly that same texture. It's smooth and effectively prevents makeup from running, but I feel like it's best to use skincare products that prioritize hydration before applying primer. I spent a day wearing a mask on a cold day, and the lower half of my face was covered in moisture from my breath and body heat, but my makeup didn't run at all. It's excellent. Incidentally, I used it in conjunction with the Kusahana Moka powder foundation. While many anti-shine primers have a skin-tone correcting effect, such as pink, blue, or lavender, this primer has a pure tone-enhancing effect. I recommend it for those who don't need color correction but still want to naturally conceal uneven skin tone. When layered with foundation, it actually covered subtle uneven skin tone and redness like melasma, giving my complexion an even look. Even if masks become unnecessary in the future (I hope so), this product will come in handy during the sweaty season. I also like the reasonable price and the artistic packaging.
