I think the parts that aren't visible when cooking or applying makeup are also important. I wondered if an eyeshadow primer was necessary, but when I applied it, it fixed the eyeshadow and controlled my skin tone, making the eyeshadow I applied on top look beautiful. Peach Praline is a pale pink that brightens the tone of the eyes. Snowball has glitter in it, which also gives a bright impression. Both are quite light in application, so they're not dramatically different, but like the sliced daikon radish you put in oden, they really soak up the flavor. It feels like they fill in the gaps of something missing. There are so many shades in this series, it's fun just seeing them lined up. I'll add more as I add more.
I've been using Excel for my eyeshadow base for a long time, but I wanted a change and tried this one. Peach Praline ---*Excel has a softer texture and spreads easily, but I felt like this one adhered better. It also seemed to have better color payoff. However, both looked similar over time. I'll try using them a bit more and compare them.-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*-----*Snowball---*I switched from Peach Praline, which had a bottom that was visible. The fine glitter is beautiful. It's white, so it really brightens the tone.------***Reevaluation***------Compared to Excel: Pros: It brightens the eyelids instantly, so the eyeshadow color payoff is better. Cons: Excel has a smoother texture, so it spreads better with a small amount. It wears off quickly, and friction is noticeable when applying a small amount. The case is a bit difficult to handle, which is a bit frustrating! For me it was too small and thin to pick up with my fingers, so I ended up using a brush to get it out... (I want to pick it up with my fingers and apply it with my fingers) The lid doesn't open or close very well either... Maybe it's because I'm using it individually and not as part of a set, but I'm thinking about buying it again in the future!
I bought this because I wanted an eyeshadow base! I'd been interested in it for a while, so I bought it for the new year! It said it was a cream shadow, so I assumed it would be thick and creamy, but I was surprised that it was thicker than I expected! However, the glitter is really cute, and I really like the whitish glitter!
I use it as a base for my eye makeup. I bought it after seeing a Shiseido beauty advisor recommend it on Instagram. When I use it, my eyeshadow lasts longer and the color pays off nicely. I apply it thinly, so I don't feel like it smudges or bunches up.
