What it is
The long-selling Bicassa Plate has also evolved to be easier to use. While maintaining the original shape, the thickness has been slightly reduced, making it easier to approach the deeper parts of the muscles. This is a one-of-a-kind product, handmade in a kiln in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture, known for Mino ware.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

I've been interested in Gua Sha for a while, but recently I've been doing lymphatic drainage massages, so I wondered if using a Gua Sha would be a good idea. I bought one. This is my first time using one, so I can't compare it to other Gua Shas, but it's good. I feel like using a Gua Sha helps flush out waste products better than using my fingers for lymphatic drainage.
The V-shaped groove fits snugly around the jaw and sternocleidomastoid muscle! It feels great!
It has just the right amount of weight and a luxurious feel! You can massage with soft pressure. As the included instructions say, it's for massaging the face, so it might be a little difficult to use on the scalp.
I had the original Bikassa plate, but it chipped when I dropped it, so I bought a new one. It's a little thinner and lighter than the previous one. I didn't feel the previous one was particularly heavy, but it's still made of ceramic. The main difference is that the previous one was flat all over, while the new one is gently curved all over, perhaps to make it easier to hold. The usage is the same, but somehow it feels easier to hold. It feels good to wash with the gua sha and it's effective against edema, so this time I'll be careful not to drop it and use it carefully!
