(Limited Sale) Tom Ford Beauty Cream Foundation Brush

It can be used with both powder, liquid, and cream foundations, but in Japan, the "Traceless Compact Foundation SPF17" is designated for powder foundation. The extremely fluffy brush feels incredibly comfortable on the skin. The bristles are tightly packed and quite fine, easily reaching into the finer details of your face. When using liquid or cream foundation, first spread it all over with "Foundation Brush 01," then lightly trace it with this brush to remove excess foundation for a more flawless finish. When using powder foundation, this one brush is all you need. Made in Hiroshima Prefecture.

This is a small goat hair brush. It's round and flat. It's recommended for use with TF's Skin Illuminating Powder Duo (which I reviewed earlier), and I purchased it along with the powder. However, buying this brush might not have been the smartest purchase. It's made in Japan, likely sourced from "that manufacturer," and is more expensive than the original product, heavily emblazoned with TF branding. Perhaps the original product might offer a similar product at a more reasonable price if I searched carefully. However, my reasons for purchasing it were: 1) I wanted to maximize the performance of TF's Skin Illuminating Powder Duo (the brush shape and characteristics would likely be optimally tuned); 2) I simply wanted to purchase at least one TF-specific brush (I'm a bit of a trend-chaser); and 3) I didn't have the time or determination to search for a similar product in the original's (presumably) vast brush lineup (lol). So, I bought it on impulse along with the powder, but it's actually quite good to use. The aforementioned powder is quite firm when pressed, but the stiffness of the goat hair allows it to be properly absorbed into the brush. This powder is best suited to tight application rather than loose application, making it ideal in that respect. The small tip is just right for applying it to slightly narrow areas like the C-zone. It's soft and not at all prickly on the skin, which is impressive. Although I've written about it as if it were a dedicated brush, it appears to be, as the name suggests, a brush for applying cream foundation. The Skin Illuminating Powder comes in a set of two shades, one light and one dark, but the beauty advisor advised me that one brush would be sufficient if I used the light and dark shades separately on both sides, and I'm using exactly that. It comes with a simple brush cover made of soft material (protecting only the tip). It's high quality and easy to use, so I recommend it. If you don't mind the price, I recommend it.

I bought this at the same time as the #SkinIlluminatingPowderDuo. When I heard it was a dedicated brush for the SkinIlluminatingPowderDuo, I bought it without hesitation. It's excellent and doesn't sting at all (//∇//) Even when held vertically against the skin and tapped, it doesn't sting. Recommended for highlighting and shading!! It's firm and easy to use in specific areas! It's not suitable for face powder or blush. It's more for applying to the skin rather than blending it lightly! It's a brush that's perfect for that purpose. It looks luxurious with its dark brown and gold color, typical of Tom Ford. The handle is neither too thin nor too thick, just right. The white brush color is a bit of a downside, but other than that, it's perfect (//∇//)

I don't use it for foundation. It's just the right size and rounded shape to fit my face, so I use it to apply concealer by firmly tapping it on. It's just right. The size and shape are just right. I also use it for the cream underneath the Contour Duo. This brush is easy to use with creams. You can press, tap, spread, and apply creams without streaking, giving you great control. It also picks up powders well, so it's perfect for applying and polishing highlighter. It's so versatile, I want another one...or two...or even three...one for concealer, one for contour, and one for highlighter...but they're expensive...

The other day, I bought the Skin Illuminating Powder Duo and used my existing cheek brush, but the color didn't really come through, probably because the bristles were too soft... so I went back to the store... and they recommended this brush. As it's specifically designed for this product, it's easy to use and stress-free. And yet the bristles are soft and feel great! It's a bit pricey, so I'm giving it a minus, but I understand that good brushes can be expensive. If you want to get the most out of the powder, I think it's well worth it.
