I usually buy a lot of department store cosmetics, but I thought maybe I should cut down on my beauty costs a bit, and there was a 20% cash back point offer, so I decided to give it a try. It's light on the skin and removes makeup well, so it's pretty good. It emulsifies smoothly and doesn't take long, so it's easy to use. I don't think I would normally buy this product, but I'm glad I did. It's inexpensive and easy to use, so I'd like to buy it again. I also recommended it to my mother, who doesn't like strong fragrances, and surprisingly, she really liked it.
I mainly use it as a wipe-off product on days when I'm wearing light makeup or only sunscreen. While double cleansing is necessary, I like that it doesn't dry out my skin after washing. I've heard that even sunscreens labeled as cleansing removers are better cleansed first, so I try to remove them with cleansing. Since the cream doesn't drip easily onto my arms and décolleté, I also use it as a body cleanser. While it can be removed with water or hot water, I don't like the sticky oily feeling that cleansing creams leave behind, and I thought it might not be eco-friendly to splash water on just sunscreen, so I started using it as a wipe-off product. It also makes washing my face easier afterward, and since it reduces the amount of scrubbing I need to do, I've continued using it, considering the potential for skin irritation. This method saves time for me. When using it as a wipe-off product, tissues are too thin and quickly become sticky with oil, so I use a thicker version of a disposable face towel I found at a drugstore, which is like a thicker, disposable kitchen paper towel. The surface has a bubbly texture, making it easy to wipe off the cream without creating any fluff, so I recommend it. The other side is smooth, so you can simply turn it over to wipe off any remaining cream and wipe your entire face with one wipe. The cleansing power is decent, but while you'll need a point makeup remover for eye makeup like mascara and lipstick, it removes most base makeup, so I think it's decent. On days when you wear heavy layers of makeup, an oil is better. I've tried using it with other face washes, including Orbis U and the blue Senka tube, and the Ayaka Moisture Face Wash leaves my skin feeling incredibly moisturized, so I think it's the best combination. If you're looking for a cleanser, other brands are fine, but Ayaka's moisturizes your skin and makes a difference in the cleansing experience. The contents are the same as the old glass bottle, so I feel like the tube type is easier to use. Also, I don't like the scent, which has a traditional, cosmetic feel, so it's not my absolute favorite. Those sensitive to scents should check it out. There are not many reviews of Ayaka, so I will write down my personal impression of the brand. The entire moisturizing line costs around 10,000 yen, so I think it is a brand in a price range that I would recommend to people who don't have sensitive skin but use cosmetics such as Minon for moisturizing.
The scent reminds me of old-fashioned cosmetics. I massage it into my makeup, but cream-type cleansers often don't remove makeup well, leaving residue on the hairline and other areas, or leaving an oily film that I dislike. However, this one doesn't leave any makeup behind, and even the dirt clogged in my pores seems to be thoroughly removed, which is great. There's no oily film, and my skin feels moisturized and bouncy after cleansing. It's a great cleanser for winter. It's gentle on the skin, so I recommend it for those who are concerned about dryness.
Since it's a cream type, it might take a while to emulsify, but at this price, Carte HD might be a better choice. I'll update after using it a bit more.
This was my first time using a cream-type cleanser, but it wasn't sticky, which was great. My skin often feels tight after cleansing, but this one leaves it feeling moisturized. It does have a unique scent, but it might actually be okay once you get used to it.
