Canmake Cream Cheek is a Japanese cream blush with a moist, gel-like texture that melts into the skin on contact. Shade 05 is Sweet Apricot, a warm soft orange. Applied with fingers or a sponge and patted outward across the cheek, it builds from a natural flush to a stronger colour with repeat layers.

Who does the Sweet Apricot shade suit?

It is a warm soft orange, which reads most naturally on yellow, olive and tan undertones, where pink blushes can look grey. On very fair cool-toned skin it can look strong, so apply less and build. It also works as a warm layer under a pink blush to stop it looking flat.

Should I apply it before or after powder?

Before. Cream and gel textures need skin or liquid foundation to blend into. Applied over a set powder base they cling and go patchy. If you use powder foundation, apply this first on bare skin, then powder lightly over the top.

Will it work on oily skin?

Yes, though it will not last as long as a powder blush. Set the area with a light dusting of translucent powder after blending, which holds the colour without dulling it. On very oily skin, use it as a base under a powder blush of a similar tone.

Can I use it on lips?

Many people do, and the texture is comfortable enough for it, but it is formulated as a cheek product rather than a lip product. Expect it to sit drier on the lips than a lip balm and to wear off with eating and drinking. Apply a balm underneath if you want to try it.
