Maybe soothing bath salts are best after all! There's nothing wrong with that at all! Bath salts are just something you add a little to your bathwater, so I don't think you should expect them to be as effective as skin care products like lotions. For people with dry skin, I think it's much more effective to shorten the time you soak in the bath and lower the temperature to lukewarm water than to take a long bath with moisturizing bath salts. After all, you want to be surrounded by a nice scent when you bathe.
It's fragrance-free, so it doesn't feel like you've put much in, and it's not that obvious that it's moisturizing. It might be good for homes with small children.
I've bought this bath additive many times. I use it because I have dry skin. It's similar to Curel's liquid bath additives, and I received a sample at my favorite pharmacy and bought it because it's gentle on the skin. It's fragrance-free, so I sometimes use it together with Ayura's bath additives. Since it's not eligible for discounts at the pharmacy, I buy it by collecting points from Suzykirei shopping and Watashi Plus.
First of all, the container is sturdy and the liquid doesn't drip (Cow Brand does drip...), and it has no scent, so it's great for when you're tired or sensitive to smells. It doesn't feel particularly moisturizing, but it doesn't dry out or irritate my skin, so it's great. I have sensitive skin, so I think if I had this and other products with me at all times, I could take care of both my mind and body. It's not often sold in stores, so it might be difficult to purchase, but I'd like to buy it again.
