It's soothing and very pleasant, and I thought it was a pretty good cleanser. The cleansing power is neither too strong nor too weak. It doesn't leave a tight feeling, but on the other hand, there's no lingering moisturizing residue. It feels well-balanced. The gel is soft, and it's a pain to lather by hand. Since it's a gel, you don't need to lather it too much, and it's gentle on the skin. It spreads better than a foam, so it seems like it'll be fine even if you wash roughly. I don't like the cooling sensation, but my husband seems to like the refreshing feeling. It makes a great gift.
