I received this as a gift, so I sprayed it on after washing my face, thinking it might be a toner mist. It left my skin feeling dry and unmoisturized, so I looked closely and saw the words "fix & set"... Thinking it was supposed to hold my makeup in place, I sprayed it on after powdering. Pressing it all the way down sprays a decent amount in one go. The fine mist keeps my makeup in place, which is nice. You can either let it dry or lightly blend it in with a sponge. It's the middle of winter, so I'm not sure how well it holds my makeup in place, but it does smooth out the dryness of my powder, which is nice. It even adds a little shine. It's more expensive than the drugstore stuff, so it makes me feel like I've put in a lot of effort. lol I'm used to unscented products, so the scent can be a bit of a concern, but I think it's a soothing, lovely scent. When I put on makeup properly, I want to keep it looking beautiful, so I like to use it with a quick spritz.
