This lip balm contains plant-derived moisturizing ingredients. It's supposed to be for dry, chapped lips. I've used up two bottles. The main moisturizing ingredients are beeswax, shea butter, plant-derived oils (castor oil, apricot kernel oil, almond oil), and edelweiss extract, with a vitamin E derivative added to prevent chapped lips. It's a lipstick with a soft texture. While the scent of the ingredients is noticeable, it's not tingly. It glides on smoothly, is hypoallergenic, and spreads well. It moisturizes the surface of your lips, but the effect isn't long-lasting. It dries out before you notice. If you apply it before bed, your lips are dry by morning. It doesn't moisturize the inside of your lips. On the other hand, it does moisturize the surface of your lips, so it might work as a base for lip color. I tried using it as a lip primer, and it didn't slide smoothly on your lips and helped prevent dryness. It's mild and moisturizes well, and doesn't dry out your lips, but the moisturizing effect doesn't last. It's more moisturizing than Menthol, though. Considering the long-lasting moisturizing effect, I think it's a bit pricey. It's good that it's mild, though. There are probably lip balms with similar functionality that are a little cheaper. It's not a strong flavor, so I think some people will like it. It's neither good nor bad.
I bought it because it was an Embryolisse lip product, but so far it's neither good nor bad.
