What it is
This cream foundation melts into even dry skin, providing a moisturizing finish. It provides solid coverage without feeling thick, leaving skin with a moisturized, radiant finish, just like applying a serum.

How to use
1. After preparing your skin with a makeup base, apply an appropriate amount of foundation (approximately 8mm in diameter) to the center of one cheek, spread it in a circular motion, and then spread it radially outward to blend it in. Repeat for the other cheek. 2. Take a smaller amount than [1] and place it on your forehead, spreading it in the same way. 3. Take an even smaller amount and finish around your eyes and mouth. Blend it into the bridge of your nose, nostrils, temples, etc.

Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

It's highly moisturizing and has good coverage, so I'll keep buying it.
This foundation gives you a translucent finish. It spreads very well, so a small amount is enough. It doesn't come off and I really like the feel of it.
I used the sample product, Ochre 03. It's a cream foundation, so it offers decent coverage, but it doesn't completely hide blemishes and freckles on my cheeks. If you want full coverage, it's best to use a concealer. I was hoping for the cream's coverage and adhesion, but it was no different from other brands' liquid foundations—a bit disappointing. This season's liquid foundations are rich in serum ingredients and, needless to say, easy to apply, so I don't see why I'd choose this one. Also, the same est concealing foundation offers better coverage. The shades are beige, and while 03 seems like a standard shade, it felt brown to me. As expected, it ended up looking like a clay figurine over time. Because there aren't many color variations, it's best to choose a shade by touching it up and then testing it over time. For now, I won't be purchasing the full product.
This excellent foundation adheres better than powder, yet has almost none of the weightiness that's typical of creams! It melts with body heat the moment you apply it to your skin, naturally covering pores and uneven skin tone. It especially evens out dullness under the eyes and redness around the nose, without feeling like you've applied too much.
I use 03. I was in my early 30s when I bought it, and I felt it was too moisturizing for me. I got sunburned and the color no longer matched my skin, so I put it away and forgot about it. But when I used it again after a few years, I found it to be perfect for my skin now in my late 30s! I think the finish matches my current natural, glossy makeup look. It also doesn't make my skin feel suffocated, and it doesn't break down easily. What's more, even after leaving it for several years, it's amazing how it's been stable without separating or having any strange smell. It really brought home to me Kao's technological prowess in strange ways.
