Frequently Asked Questions
Is this authentic?
Yes. Every item is bought from an official seller in Japan, or direct from the brand for pre-orders,
never from resellers or grey market stock. Counterfeits and grey market listings are a real problem in
Asian beauty online, and buying only through official channels is how we rule it out.
What are your shipping rates?
On orders under US$75, shipping is a flat US$20 to the United States and US$10 to all other countries.
Orders of US$75 or more ship free, applied automatically at checkout. Your exact shipping cost is shown before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
These estimates are for International Airmail (Tracked) and include 3 to 5 business days of processing in Japan.
- United States: 12 to 15 business days
- Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany: 9 to 12 business days
- Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland: 10 to 13 business days

- Rest of the world: 11 to 18 business days
Actual delivery can be affected by customs clearance, seasonal congestion, or carrier delays in the destination country, all of which are outside our control.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.
We're working on rolling out prepaid duties for more countries soon.
I bought this because I wanted to improve my liquid eyeliner technique. It still streaks. I'm trying to draw it thicker, so I can wear it out. Thinner lines seem to be more popular, but I prefer this type of eyeliner because I want to enhance my eyes. A while ago, I received a triple-sided eyeliner mirror as a gift from Fancl and Lancôme, and I used it to practice applying liquid eyeliner. I seem to have thrown it away, so I bought a new one. It's convenient for drawing a flicked-up eyeliner. I've tried other brands of liquid eyeliner, but I prefer Kate's. I think brush pen-type eyeliners are not cost-effective. They last well. You'll need eye makeup remover.
This is a non-smudge-proof eyeliner. I've been using a lot of pen-type eyeliners lately, so this is the first time I've used this type in years. Even when I squeezed the brush firmly to extract the liquid before applying it, the line ended up being too thick or smudged, probably because the brush wasn't very stiff. I couldn't get a good look from it. So, I thought I might put it away, but I really wanted to use this, so now I apply a little to the brush of a pen-type eyeliner from another manufacturer before applying it. This allows me to draw thin lines and the outer corners of my eyes just how I want, and although it takes a little effort, I'm very satisfied with the results. It doesn't smudge, but rather crumbles. By night, the outer corners of my eyes have faded a little, but the rest of my eyes are still intact. Perhaps because it contains a lot of liquid, it doesn't run out easily. I've been using it every day, but I can't remember how many months it's been. I wasn't very good at using the brush, but I think it's a great product. I plan to repurchase it when it runs out. It would be nice if they offered more colors.
I'm using it for cosplay makeup. Other eyeliners tend to dry out quickly around the eyes, probably due to the humidity, but this one doesn't dry out at all! It takes some practice to get used to it. It might be too strong for everyday use, but it's great for cosplay!
Until now, I thought Carome was the best! But recently, I've been getting mysterious tears on the corner of my left eye (maybe pollen...) and I often find that my eyeliner has completely disappeared... I really liked it, but I had to buy a new one, so I was looking for an eyeliner that was resistant to sweat, oil, and tears, and I found this one. My impression is that it's just so hard to apply. If I make a mistake, I have to rub it really hard with a cotton swab to get it off. Lol. So far, it's still stronger against sweat and oil than Carome... but it does disappear... or so I'd say... It's seriously so difficult to apply that I'm giving it 5 stars. I have permed eyelashes, so my eyelashes get in the way of the corners and corners of my eyes, but with normal pen-type eyeliners, the ink doesn't affect them, but with this product, the ink gets on my eyelashes and then on my eyelids, which sets off a crazy chain reaction (I hope you understand).
I've been using this for 15 years. The brush is easy to apply, and it lines the outer corners of your eyes nicely. It's hard to remove with water until you cleanse, but once you do, it comes off easily. I've tried a lot of other products in between, but this is by far the best.
