I use this sunscreen all year round because UV absorbers don't suit me (they break down and cause itching). Even with daily oil cleansing, it tends to remain in my pores, but the benefits outweigh the drawbacks: it doesn't break down, doesn't burn, doesn't cause friction when spreading, and doesn't dull my skin because it's colorless. The benefits outweigh the drawbacks, so I keep using it. I've tried a few other non-chemical sunscreens, but I always end up coming back to this one. In the summer, I put a 100-yen coin-sized amount (often ending up with a 500-yen coin) in my palm and spread a thick layer on my face. If there's any left over, I apply it to my neck. After leaving it for about five minutes, I lightly blot it with a tissue, blend it with my fingers, and then apply sunscreen powder on top. That alone provides enough coverage for weekend shopping and doesn't burn. On work days, I apply a thin layer of oil-blocking primer to my nose, then lightly apply loose powder on top of the sunscreen powder. While there are probably other good options for those who can tolerate chemical sunscreens, this is a must-have item that I personally wouldn't want to run out of.
