I bought this as a nighttime lip product. It has a firm texture, but it doesn't dry out until morning, so I like it. The packaging is simple, too.

As other reviews have said, it's very hard! It covers your lips with a thick film, but it's not sticky and is very comfortable to use. I also use Obagi's lip serum, which is great during the day, but it wasn't enough for nighttime use, so I bought this, and it kept my lips moisturized until morning.

As other comments have said, it is definitely firm. But because it adheres well to the lips, they stay moisturized until the morning. There were no vertical wrinkles. Also, it's not shiny like gloss, so you don't have to worry about it getting on your futon, which is another advantage of using it.
