When pre-orders for this year's revamped single eyeshadows began, I stopped by the store and saw the new, separately available case (a gray, transparent one), but I decided to buy it anyway. I love Addiction's clear cases because they're simple, stylish, and easy to tell which color is which at a glance. However, the base of the lid (where the silver stick is inserted) keeps cracking. This doesn't just apply to Addiction, but also to other similarly designed cases. Even with careful use, they always crack, and I'm not a fan. So, I asked if the new cases would be discontinued, even though I'm not a fan. The beauty advisor said they couldn't say for sure at the time (whether they'd be discontinued, sold online only, or whether the limited edition cases would continue to be released, etc.). I assumed the worst and bought this case before it sold out. Incidentally, the refill size remains the same before and after the revamp, so it will fit the new eyeshadows. Neither case has a tip holder, so I think the biggest difference is whether or not it has a mirror (i.e., whether you can see the contents). This version is 110 yen more expensive, but considering the construction, I think it's a good deal. (As an aside, the prices for both the refills and the cases have been pretty aggressive since the renewal.) Even if this version with a mirror continues to be sold, a price hike may be inevitable.

I bought this because the original clear case for the single eyeshadows broke. It was easier to see the colors in the clear case, so I'm a little disappointed that I can't see them anymore. The case itself is simple and black, so it's easy to use. Apparently, you can store not only eyeshadow but also blush in it, so it's convenient to take with you on trips! It's great to be able to customize it to your liking by putting your favorite eyeshadow and blush in it! However, it doesn't come with a brush or tip, and there's no space to store them, so be careful if you need them.

I bought this one because it has a mirror.

This case can hold four Addiction singles. I put in an eyeshadow base, glitter, a multi-tint, and a color that can also be used for eyebrows. With just this one item, your eye look is complete. It's convenient because you don't have to open and close all four.

I bought this because I already had four single-color eyeshadows from before the revamp. It's simple and nice. It can also be used with the revamped single-color eyeshadows, but the revamped ones have white frames, so I think I'll replace them with white ones when I run out.
