I use the colors 68 Porcelain Rose and 61 Ivory. I use different foundation colors depending on the primer I'm using that day. I use 68 Porcelain Rose when using a colorless primer or a yellow-based pigmentation correction primer, and 61 Ivory when using a blue-based tone-up primer. The simple reason for using these combinations is that they feel right to me (lol). While the brand recommends using a brush, I personally prefer applying it with a sponge. I use the Rosie Rosa diamond-shaped brush. Sometimes I use Clinique's larger foundation brush to apply it lightly, like powder (I use concealer beforehand to hide any imperfections or redness), but for full coverage, I like to apply it heavily. Even with a slightly messy application, the finish is beautiful. It minimizes pores and makes my skin look smooth. It looks beautiful up close, but even more so in photos and from a distance. Unfortunately, perhaps because of my poor nose, my nose tends to get shiny over time. I also tried applying a sebum-preventing primer just to my nose, but it didn't work... but applying powder on top of that restored the makeup, so it's within the realm of acceptability. It's one of my favorite foundations, but I've noticed that prices have been creeping up little by little, from around 6,000 yen until recently to the 7,000 yen range (tax included). Clinique offers relatively affordable prices, consistent quality, and a steady supply, even among department store cosmetics, and I've always owned not only foundations but also blushes and mascaras. Unfortunately, my financial situation is getting tighter (prices are rising and my salary isn't), so I can no longer afford to buy everything. This is just the way things are, and it can't be helped. So, while this review is a bit rough, I hope it's helpful for those who are undecided about purchasing it.
I used the liquid and it was so good that I also bought the powder to use for touch-ups. I've only used it for simple touch-ups so far, but it's pretty good.
The powder is fine and moist, so it doesn't easily smudge. And best of all, for the first time in my life, I've found a foundation that matches my skin tone almost exactly. I've always enjoyed makeup, but it's become even more fun now, and I'm thrilled. I'll continue using it.
I'm using Porcelain Rose. It's great because it has a wide range of shades, including a unique pink shade! I have a very pink undertone, so it's rare to find a foundation that matches my skin tone, so I'm really pleased with it! However, I have dry skin, so when I wear a mask at work and the air conditioner blows directly at me, it ends up looking really messy and dry... It doesn't have much coverage, so I use it for touch-ups, but I'm careful with primers and mist. The best thing about it is that the color stays the same until the evening! It doesn't tone down even if I sweat or produce oil. I'm also interested in Clinique's liquid foundation, so I'd like to try it next time.
