For the past few years, cleansing oils have become unsuitable for my skin, so I've been using balms, gels, and creams (occasionally combining them with wipes). Until recently, I'd been constantly repurchasing Predia, but the simple design of the container attracted me to this one. The texture of this one is much thinner than Predia. It's even thinner than Albion's oil gel and Ignis' cleansing cream. When I blended it into my makeup, I couldn't tell how the texture would change once it was fully blended in... I'm still not sure how much is okay, but it doesn't seem to leave any makeup behind after washing my face. I usually wear a fair amount of makeup: Credo primer, Dior foundation, Givenchy powder, NARS blush, Dior eyeshadow, ADDICTION eyebrow pencil, Orbis eyebrow coat, and Clinique wash-off mascara. But I haven't had any issues with my skin getting irritated by makeup not coming off in the last few days. I'm not sure if it will work properly with Laura Mercier's Caviar Stick or Elegance waterproof mascara, which are quite hard to remove, so I'll try those out later. I'll wait and see, but I'm not particularly dissatisfied with the condition of my skin, and I like the design of the container, so I'll give it 5 stars.
I bought this when I don't wear heavy makeup and my skin tends to dry out, so I was looking for something that would leave my skin feeling moisturized after washing. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized after washing, which seems like it would be perfect for the winter season. However, the scent is similar to alcohol, so some people may not like it.
After using a point makeup remover around the eyes, I apply a cherry-sized amount and blend it into the makeup. As I swirl it around, there are times when it becomes smoother and slippery, which is a sign that it has been absorbed and then I can rinse it off. After washing, my skin feels moisturized, but not sticky at all, and it removes makeup thoroughly, which I really like! I also double cleanse just to be safe. I'm prone to acne, but I've had no problems using this.
Just knowing that it's a Matsuyama oil and fat series gives me peace of mind. I don't wear heavy makeup, so I'm happy that it's so gentle to use.
I used to use a gel oil type cleanser in the summer, but it started to irritate my skin during the dry season, so I tried this one. It's a soft cream type that I can easily spread all over my face, so it doesn't irritate my skin. I feel a little oily after rinsing, but I wash my face afterwards, so it's not a problem. However, to be honest, I don't really like the fermented smell of alcohol that's a characteristic of this product. Other than that, it's fine, so I'll just put up with it and keep using it.
