I used the sample product and it spreads well as a base. I also liked the color, so I bought it.
I bought this last Saturday at The Cosmetics Company store in my local premium outlet. It was 30% off the regular price of ¥6,600, so it was ¥4,620. It seems to be the current model for now. Lately, I've been thinking about buying a versatile primer that can be used with various liquid foundations. I was also considering buying La Roche-Posay's popular primer at drugstores. They sell a clear gel type and this beige primer, and I chose this cream type because it feels more like it's been applied. I used it with the Clinique liquid foundation I bought at the same time, and the beige color became clear when blended. It also has a whitening effect, acts as both a primer and sunscreen, so I think it will be a reliable product. I'm glad I was able to get the current model at 30% off.
It's gentle on the skin, has a radiant finish, and the beige color is natural and very nice. I love that it has so many effects. It used to have a lot of creases, but it seems to have been improved. However, I think it would be better if it adhered a little better and didn't crease easily.
While my friends of the same age are undergoing dark spot removal treatments, I'm still blemish-free. I think it's thanks to this product. I've been using City Block for about 30 years. The packaging, formula, and price have changed, but I've stuck with this one. I played outdoor sports when I was younger, but even so, at my age, I can attest to the fact that it still protected me from UV rays. It pairs well with liquid foundations like Lancôme Teint Idole and Blanc Expert, and doesn't flake. I don't need full coverage, so this is perfect. It doesn't tone up. The only thing I'd like to see improved is a flatter, more stable lid, as it's unstable and tends to tip over when placed face down. P.S. The color looks more beige with a yellowish tinge, but the coverage isn't so strong that it's noticeable, so even I, a cool-toned, fair-skinned person, can wear it without any discomfort.
This is a very dark sunscreen. When I took it out of the tube, it looked like my skin tone, but when I spread it on my skin, it looked yellowish. The color is dark, but I don't think it had much coverage. It didn't hide anything. I was hoping it would remove the redness on my cheeks, but even when I patted it in, it didn't make much difference and I think it was comfortable to wear. It didn't make my skin feel tight or sticky, though, so it might not be good for midsummer. It's not bad, but at over 6,000 yen, it's a bit much. I'd either spend a little more and buy something better, or there are other cheaper, better products out there, so I don't think I'll buy it again.
