What it is
CHPT.9 Pore Clear Serum is a 30ml Japanese rinse-off oil for blackheads and clogged pores. Massage 3 to 5 drops onto dry skin for one minute before cleansing. A dual AHA and BHA complex dissolves pore plugs and oxidized sebum, then it emulsifies with water and rinses clean without tightness.
Why it's different
It is not a cleansing oil. It goes on dry skin before any cleanser, so the acids reach the plug inside the pore rather than only lifting surface oil and makeup.
The dual AHA (glycolic acid) and BHA (salicylic acid) complex works on the plug and on the dark ring around the pore, so texture and pore appearance improve together.
17 conditioning ingredients mean pores clear without the stripped finish left by pore strips, scrubs, orstrong foaming cleansers. It suits oily and combination skin, and dry or sensitive skin at a lower frequency.

How to use
1. Start with completely dry hands and a dry face.
2. Use the dropper to place 3 to 5 drops in your palm.
3. Massage onto blackheads and buildup, such as the nose and chin, in small circles for about one minute.
4. Add a little lukewarm water and work it until the texture turns light and milky.
5. Rinse thoroughly, leaving no residue, since residue is the usual cause of irritation or breakouts. A separate cleanser is not required unless you are also removing makeup or sunscreen.
How often can I use it, and can I use it every day?
Two to three times a week is typical, and daily is fine if your skin handles acids well. If your skin is dry, sensitive, or new to AHA and BHA, start once a week and increase from there. Rinse fully every time, since leftover residue is the usual cause of irritation.

This one goes on dry skin first, and its AHA and BHA work into the pore to dissolve the hardened plug itself before you rinse. It replaces your cleanser on days you are not wearing makeup, and sits before it on days you are.
Do I use it before or after cleansing?
Before. It is the first step, on dry skin. Massage for about a minute, add a little water to emulsify, then rinse. Follow with a cleanser only if you are removing makeup or sunscreen.
Does it actually work, and how long until I see results?
Most people notice smoother texture on the nose after the first use. Fewer new blackheads, and a less visible dark ring around the pore, usually show over two to four weeks of regular use. It reduces how large pores look by clearing what is inside them. It does not permanently shrink the pore opening, and no rinse-off product does.
Who is it for, and who should skip it?
It is for blackheads and rough texture on the nose and chin, and it suits oily and combination skin best. Dry and sensitive skin can use it at a lower frequency. Skip it if you have active inflamed acne, or if your skin is currently sensitized by retinoids or peels, since layering acids makes irritation worse. If you have rosacea or a diagnosed skin condition, check with your dermatologist first.
