I used LUX for the first time in about 25 years. For a while, silicone-free shampoos were all the rage, and my hair started to feel rough. I wondered if DS shampoo wasn't the best after all. Since then, I've been using salon-made shampoos, even slightly pricier DS shampoos, and tried everything. The moisturizing ones didn't have enough cleansing power, leaving me with a noticeable scalp odor the next day, while the more cleansing ones left my hair dry. I used LUX regularly at 18, and my hair was in great condition. I thought it was just because I was young, but it made a lasting impression on me, and I felt nostalgic, so I bought the set. I was amazed. The balance of everything was just right. Even though I'd used other after-bath treatments, my hair was smooth, easy to run my fingers through, and didn't have that scalp odor the next night. I was amazed at how well-selling products from such a long-selling company have evolved. Suddenly, I remembered Vidal Sassoon, along with LUX. I think I used them interchangeably. That one was good, too.
