The size is just right, and although it's small, it holds a surprising amount. The price is a little high, and while the paper case is cute, I'm worried it might get dirty and black with use. Depending on the type of lotion I use, my skin can feel sticky (especially with all-in-one lotions), so it's difficult to apply the product properly with the puff. The puff gets sticky, so washing it frequently is essential. I'd like to read everyone's reviews carefully to find out how to use it properly. I'll consider repurchasing it once I've used it up.
I used to use a powder from another manufacturer, but this one is called Silk, and as the name suggests, it has a silky smooth texture and is extremely comfortable to use!
I use it to prevent stickiness after my nighttime skincare routine. The product itself is very small, so I thought it would run out quickly and not be very cost-effective, but a very small amount leaves my skin feeling smooth. It's 100% silk and very fine. I tried using it as a finishing powder for my makeup, but it left my skin feeling very dry and flaky. It also left my face feeling flat and strange. I don't use it during the day. I moisturize my skin thoroughly at night, so I don't use it all over my face, and it doesn't leave me with any unpleasant dryness or tightness.
Around this time last year, I used silk powder, which is inexpensive, and it gave me a cooler look, and I started getting more compliments. So this year, I splurged and bought some from MIMC. The finish isn't much different from the cheaper ones. The moisturizing feeling also seems the same. I don't like the distinctive animal smell of silk powder, which is like sewerage (to be honest, it smells like poop), but this one has less of that. However, it still smells at random moments... (I think it only smells when I'm wearing it, but I'd hate it if it was a constant smell.) I settled on a different powder, so I got rid of it. I didn't feel like the benefits were worth putting up with the smell. I also didn't like the paper packaging (because I have small children).
I love this product because I'm not allergic to silk. It's great because I can use it regardless of my skin condition when I'm worried about stickiness after skin care or UV rays.
