What it is
The texture changes like melting nectar. A cleansing balm that leads to smooth and translucent skin. A soft, melting balm packed with extracts of white flowers that melts away makeup and pore dirt, and also removes dullness. It leads to smooth and translucent skin. When pressure is applied to the balm, it melts smoothly like nectar, and the texture changes to a comfortable oil with a loosening softness. It spreads lightly and smoothly, and does not feel burdensome on the skin. Contains peony flower extract extracted from the pure white large-flowered "peony" variety called Snow White. It leads to highly translucent skin without dullness. The moisturizing extracts from flowers such as Madonna Lily Extract and Chamomile Extract, as well as hyaluronic hydrators, fill the skin with moisture and keep it healthy. JILL STUART's first cleansing balm is luxuriously formulated with botanical oils. The botanical oils, which have a high emollient effect and leave the skin feeling smooth and supple after washing, and the oils with high cleansing power are combined in an optimal balance to achieve both a moisturizing feeling and makeup removal. Contains 88% beauty serum. This balm, full of the blessings of flowers, washes away the skin to a supple feeling as if it had been prepared with beauty serum. Not only does it remove makeup stains, but it also thoroughly removes old dead skin cells and pore dirt that inhibit transparency, leading to supple, smooth skin with a clear transparency. How to use
Using the spatula provided, take a cherry-sized amount into the palm of your dry hand, and spread it over your entire face, blending it well with your foundation and other makeup with your fingertips. Then rinse with water or lukewarm water. Do not wet your hands or face before use.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

The balm itself is firm and you scoop it out with the included spatula, but it spreads easily with your hands and removes makeup cleanly. I liked using it because it removes glitter and other makeup beautifully, but after a few days of use, my cheeks became hard and it didn't suit my skin... The cleansing sensation was very good, and if it suited my skin, I would have continued using it.
I've used DUO's black balm before, and I decided to switch from oil to balm during the cold season, so I came across this one. I don't like strong fragrances in cosmetics, but this one has a subtle scent, so I was relieved. Eyebrow mascara and eyebrow coat are the most durable makeup products, but by swirling a cherry-sized amount in your hands, it melts into a balm. It's not quite a massage, but once you work it into your skin, it thoroughly removes all your makeup. Balms are durable, yet they're amazing! I was surprised at how smooth and non-drying my skin was immediately after using this. I could really feel the dullness disappearing, and it didn't feel like tired skin from the night before. While I haven't noticed any effect on my pores, this cleansing balm has become a product I won't want to give up.
I love Jill Stuart's products because they have cute packaging and are gentle on the skin. With winter approaching, I thought I might switch to a cleanser like a milk or balm, so I bought this product. This was my first time using a balm, and it felt like I was washing my face with a serum! It melted onto my skin and spread, leaving it feeling moisturized. After rinsing the cleanser, my skin felt soft, not tight, and even one tone whiter. There's no need for double cleansing, and the gentle scent really puts me at ease. I love using it. After using it a few times, I feel like my skin is less dry and the dullness has faded. It's perfect for me, and it's become one of my favorites! I'm so happy to have found such a wonderful product that I want to keep using.
JILL STUART Clear Cleansing Balm cleanly removes even heavy makeup and leaves my skin feeling moisturized! The scent is also lovely and soothing!
It's a fairly hard balm. I've only ever used the &honey cleansing balm, so I'll compare it to that, but &honey is soft and can be easily loosened with gentle pressure, while this one requires quite a bit of force with both hands to loosen. The balm itself is also hard, making it difficult to scrape off with a spatula. It seems to contain 88% serum, so it effectively removes makeup and pore impurities. The subtle floral scent is soothing. The appearance is cute, typical of JILLSTUART, so I think it would make a good gift for someone who loves the world of JILL.
