What it is
Carbon Layer Plates Minimize Water, Heat, and Pressure Damage: Applying heat to hair while water is still present causes a steam explosion*, damaging the cuticles. Furthermore, repeatedly applying high temperature and pressure can cause hair to become flattened. Professionals carefully control the speed and tension of the iron to minimize damage while styling. ReFa's unique "Carbon Layer Plate" technology replicates this professional damage reduction technique. The three-layer structure of high-density carbon dioxide, a heater, and a low-rebound coating minimizes water, heat, and pressure damage from the iron while beautifully styling hair. *A steam explosion phenomenon where water vaporizes and repels when it comes into contact with a very high-temperature substance. The Carbon Layer Plates, designed to create beautiful straight hair, use high-density carbon as a base. It evenly distributes heat to the hair, beautifully smoothing out frizz. How to use
Plug the power cord into an outlet. Gently grip the handle to release the lock. Press and hold the power button for at least 2 seconds to turn on the power. The temperature indicator light and the "+" and "-" lights will illuminate white, and the set temperature* will illuminate red. Within approximately 5 seconds of turning on the power, press the "+" or "-" button to set the temperature. Press the power button to turn off the power. All lights will illuminate. Close the handle to lock the lock.

Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.
