What it is
172 ALL NIGHT LONG: Rose Brown A star-studded matte lip that gently colors your lips with just one application. The texture is a blend of high-purity pigments and color locking ingredients, giving it a rich color. The texture changes from a smooth cream to a matte finish, filling your lips effortlessly and adhering to the matte finish. It is comfortable to wear and prevents color transfer. Wear this gorgeous shade with a sophisticated look.

How to use
Use the tip of the pencil to outline your lips and then fill them in. After outlining your lips with your preferred color, fill in with a lighter color to create a three-dimensional lip look. We recommend sharpening your lips after each use using a "Pencil Sharpener" (sold separately). <Caution> This is a pencil that requires sharpening. The entire surface of the pencil barrel is color coated, but once sharpened, the interior of the barrel turns dark gray. Depending on storage conditions, oil may occasionally seep onto the surface, causing the barrel or contents to appear wet, but this does not affect use. Please close the cap tightly after use. Do not store in direct sunlight or in high temperatures or humidity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this authentic?
Yes. Every item is bought from an official seller in Japan, or direct from the brand for pre-orders,
never from resellers or grey market stock. Counterfeits and grey market listings are a real problem in
Asian beauty online, and buying only through official channels is how we rule it out.
What are your shipping rates?
On orders under US$75, shipping is a flat US$20 to the United States and US$10 to all other countries.
Orders of US$75 or more ship free, applied automatically at checkout. Your exact shipping cost is shown before you pay.
How long does delivery take?
These estimates are for International Airmail (Tracked) and include 3 to 5 business days of processing in Japan.
- United States: 12 to 15 business days
- Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany: 9 to 12 business days
- Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland: 10 to 13 business days
- China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam: 8 to 10 business days
- Rest of the world: 11 to 18 business days
Actual delivery can be affected by customs clearance, seasonal congestion, or carrier delays in the destination country, all of which are outside our control.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.
We're working on rolling out prepaid duties for more countries soon.
I finally bought American Woman. It's cute, but the pigmentation is so strong that it's a little too intense for my pale skin. It's a matte lipstick, but it's easy to apply. Nars' products tend to be intense overall, so I wish they would offer more shades that can be applied in darker or lighter shades.
I got advice from a beauty consultant and chose this color. It's soft and easy to apply to the lips.
I've been using CEZANNE lip liner to add shadow to the arch of my lip and the area below the center of my lower lip, but I wanted something that would last longer, so I dug out this one I'd had lying around. The pencil is a little thick and soft, so you have to be creative with how you apply it with your fingers or a tool, but the feel and color are great. You can sharpen it with the Daiso sharpener shown in the image, which is compatible with the three different pencil widths. (It's 12mm, so remove the white ring to fit.) Applying shadow for now helps keep the lipstick looking natural even when it comes off, so I'm thinking of buying a slightly more beige color when I run out.
I applied it to the arch of my lip in a nice way.
The result is plump, cute, and sexy lips.
