I bought this along with the Daisy Palette at SuzykireiSHOPPING. It's so cute when set in the palette! An eyeshadow base is essential, so I've tried a few. This one feels smooth when you pick it up with your fingers, but it's sticky when you apply it to your eyelids. I didn't really like the feel of it. The shadow lasts just as long as other affordable bases, I think. If you add the case and this, the price is a bit more than you'd pay for department store cosmetics, but I think the cuteness is what makes it stand out. I was torn between 01 and 02. Matte shadows don't suit me, and I prefer flashy makeup like pearls and glitter, but using this as a base didn't interfere with my makeup at all. It's a subtle pink, but not overbearing, making it an easy-to-use color.
Compared to the Canmake primer, the foundation underneath didn't smudge as easily. The eyeshadow color was equally good. The glitter color seemed better with the Canmake one.
I recently visited my favorite brand, Marikwa, in-store. I was excited by the variety of colors...and when I bought the eye opener, I also chose this and purchased it. As for how it feels to use...it definitely pays off better when you apply it, prevents dryness, and doesn't get into the wrinkles around your eyes (lol). The salesperson applied this, then layered the eye opener on top, and poured water over it to show how long it lasted, but I'm not sure how well it actually came off. I've been thinking recently that this triangle shape might be difficult to use.
After using it, my eyelids feel firmer. Eyeshadow is less likely to get between the creases of my double eyelids, and the color of my eyeshadow seems to last longer. However, when asked if it's an absolutely essential item, I'd say it's better to have it than not, so I gave it 4 stars.
I chose 02 with shell pink pearl because it brightened up my eyes dramatically. It's not too pigmented, so I think it's easy to reuse. I've used a variety of bases of this type, from budget brands to department store brands, but I really liked this one. (By the way, my favorite is the Orbis base from before it was renewed.) It's a little hard, but it's easy to get the right amount and spread. It's not sticky and has just the right amount of moisture, so you can apply eyeshadow evenly and beautifully with a brush, tip, or even your fingers. It also improves color payoff, and the makeup lasts longer, staying in place until you take it off. Of course, I keep this in my daisy case, just like the eye opener, and cherish it (lol).
