What it is

Focusing on the water-retaining ability and defense against external damage of hinoki cypress, a tree that has existed for hundreds of years. This two-layered essence oil contains hinoki water grown in Japan's lush forests. While enveloped in a refreshing fragrance reminiscent of forest bathing, the essence and oil blend seamlessly with the skin, leaving it moisturized, yet non-sticky, for a smooth, soft feel. Contains moisturizing ingredients (hinoki water, hinoki oil, argan oil, glycerin) (moisturizing). It delivers moisture deep into the stratum corneum, preventing dryness. Contains skin-conditioning and moisturizing ingredients (hinoki water, hinoki oil, mangosteen bark extract, glycerin). It leaves skin smooth and refined. Contains skin-protecting ingredients, including hinoki water, to protect against environmental damage such as dryness. Alcohol (ethanol), paraben (preservative), silicone, and synthetic colorant-free. A modern blend of refreshing natural hinoki cypress fragrance envelops you in a refreshing forest-like sensation. How to use
Shake well to mix the two layers before use. After applying lotion, dispense a coin-sized amount into the palm of your hand and gently smooth over your entire face. [Caution] ◇Since this product uses natural ingredients, the scent and color may vary slightly depending on the product. In rare cases, natural ingredients may become suspended in the air. This does not affect the quality of the product. ◇If stored in a low temperature, the natural oils may solidify. This does not affect the quality, so please return to room temperature before use. ◇After use, wipe the container clean and tightly close the cap. ◇Keep out of reach of children. ◇Do not store in direct sunlight or in high temperatures, as this may cause the color to fade. ◇Avoid use in extremely humid places such as bathroom sinks. This may cause mold to form on the wooden parts. ◇If the contents of the product come into contact with the wooden parts, wipe them off immediately. ◇Using a stove or other device near this product for an extended period of time may result in low-temperature combustion.

Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. As of 22 July 2026, we offer International Express Mail through Japan Post. The cost is based on order weight and is calculated automatically at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import fees?
US orders: No. As of July 1, 2026, all US orders ship DDP (duties delivered prepaid), meaning we prepay all import duties on our end. Nothing is due at your door.
Orders outside the US: Possibly. Duties and import taxes are set by your local customs authority and are not collected at checkout, so any charges on delivery are your responsibility.

The scent is so nice that I use it on my whole body after a bath and it makes me feel happy. It's an oil, but it's not sticky and easy to use. I use it on my face and body, but it seems like it can also be used on my hair, so I'd like to try it.
It smells good and is moisturizing.
Lotion: This oil is more than enough for my skin! I liked the sample I got at the store, so I bought it! I usually use boosters, emulsions, serums, and other products, but I use this when I'm too lazy to do skincare or when I want simple care to give my skin a rest. I have combination skin, so oil-based products often don't suit me, but this one absorbs easily and keeps my skin moisturized until the next day. Rather than the heavy moisturizing feeling of a cream, it has a comfortable moisturizing feeling, as if water is remaining on the skin. I can feel the moisture-retaining effect of the cypress, as per the brand concept. The gentle cypress scent, which isn't too strong, is also very nice. If I have time, I apply my favorite sleeping mask on top, which makes my skin feel even more moisturized the next morning, which is great♪
I tried the sample and loved it so much that I bought the full product. I've always had trouble with oils, especially when it comes to dark spots, but this product completely eliminated that unpleasant feeling. Even though it's an oil, it doesn't feel sticky or unpleasant. In fact, it even gives a glossy finish even when applied under makeup, which is great. It spreads and penetrates easily, so I didn't feel the unpleasant feeling that oils often have. Dark spots aren't as noticeable anymore. (Maybe it's because I'm using a different cleanser or face wash than before...) And the scent is incredibly soothing. It makes me take a deep breath. Every day is hectic, with housework, childcare, and work, and I often forget to take a deep breath, but this product reminds me to take a deep breath and helps me relax. The two-step process of lotion and emulsion allows me to complete my skincare routine without feeling guilty, even when I'm busy. I'm so glad I found BAUM.
I haven't used it yet, but I like the design of the bottle and the scent. Oil beauty products are essential for me during the dry seasons at my age, so I'm trying out a few different ones. I'm looking forward to using this once I've used up the RMK.
