I started using this product because my skin is extremely dry. It creates two layers of oil and water, and it absorbs quickly when applied, so I'm concerned about the surfactants. I only use it in the morning, not sure if it's actually replenishing moisture, but considering I'm using a lot of different products, it seems to be working well. I'll keep using it for a while.
As a serum, it's neither good nor bad. I bought it along with the Hydra Essential Light Cream as a morning serum. I had previously used a sample of the Hydra Cream before applying makeup and it was very good, so I bought them together with high hopes for the serum. However, when I used the cream after the serum and applied my cream foundation, it caused flaking. I didn't get any flaking when I used the cream alone, so I think it's a combination of the serum and foundation. So I'm going to use the V Serum, which I bought as a nighttime serum, in the morning, hoping it won't cause any flaking.
The two layers of water and oil mix together immediately when you shake it. Unlike double serums, it feels very light on the skin. I felt it was more suited to spring and summer than the dry winter months.

This is a moisturizing serum. The bottle is blue and striking. It is a type that you shake before use, and before shaking it has two layers. When you shake it, it mixes with oil and you use it. As a serum, it contains oil and is slightly thick, and once absorbed into the skin it becomes moisturized. Even though it is a serum, it feels like it moisturizes all at once, which is perfect for this winter season. It makes my skin less prone to dryness. (Although there are other oils I use, so it can be a combination issue.)
