A few years ago, I got the "Clinique Pop Sheer" Melon Drop Pop color in a Clinique cleansing lotion kit, and I thought, "This color has stood the test of time, and it's still so good!" (´;ω;`) But it's no longer in production (shudders), so I bought it thinking it might be a similar color. The result? It's not that good at all! It's the color Melon Pop, isn't it? It seems like it's the same color, right? It's completely different. First of all, the color of Melon Pop (the current product) is very whitish. It's a whitish coral-like color that's reminiscent of the Heisei era. It's so pigmented that it almost completely washes out the natural color of your lips. It's not a gloss, but rather the light reflecting off the white of the color makes it look shiny. Also, maybe it's just my lips that are the problem, but it really sinks into the wrinkles... (´;ω;`) It doesn't peel or irritate my lips, though. But when I apply gloss to create an oily sheen and hide the vertical lines, it looks super cute. I usually wear darker colors, so the all-white color is fresh and cute. This is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. I recommend this to cool-toned people who like light colors and warm-toned spring people! The color is completely different from the "Melon Drop Pop" mentioned above (which has a sheer color with a hint of red to brighten your complexion), but Melon Pop was a different color than I expected, but it was a color I don't have and it was cute, so it was okay.
Perfect for cool-toned winter skin tones. It really gives a crisp look. It's more of a pinkish red, or maybe more of a reddish pink. It instantly brightens up your complexion. Recommended for the madam generation, whose skin is starting to look dull. The texture is normal at first, but perhaps because of the season or my generation, it quickly becomes matte. I'd like to add some moisture. But I like the color, so I can even it out with lip balm. But, what's with this case color... How should I interpret it...?
I've been using this Clinique series for a while now because the colors are beautiful. My hair has turned orange, so I recently purchased the orange lipstick. I'm very satisfied.
Clinique's "Peony Pop" has a moderately matte and elegant finish. It's a whitish pink that gives beautiful color with just one coat without being too flashy, making it perfect for the office or everyday use. The color payoff is excellent and it doesn't come off easily. P.S. It's so versatile that Peony Pop is no longer available, but I hope they bring it back!
