I tried using it with a sponge and water. It has great coverage, and a small amount goes on beautifully, almost eliminating pores! It leaves a semi-matte finish. The color was a little dark for me, but it paired well with the FAS primer I always use. I think using it with a tone-up base will brighten your skin tone, so I'll try them together next time. I also liked how it didn't break down over time, yet blended in and gave off a natural glow!
It's been a while since I last bought this Lancome product. I plan to review it after using it.
I'm trying to decide which liquid foundation to choose for spring and summer. I'm torn between COSMECO's Zen Wear Stay and Lancôme. First of all, I was surprised by the smooth texture. PO-01 is a pinkish ochre. It's supposed to be a bright shade, but it has a very strong yellow tint in my hand. I apply it with a brush, and as everyone has said, it fixes as soon as I apply it. It's very thin, like a thin film. I thought it might have a strong yellow tint, but once I spread it on my skin, the yellowness disappears...? It really brightens my complexion. It's not high coverage, and the finish is semi-matte. It's not dry, though, and by the afternoon, my skin feels oily and gives me a natural glow. It didn't stick to my mask for almost a day. It's so smooth that by the evening, it had accumulated in the creases of my nasolabial folds and around my nostrils. However, the high UV protection is very appealing as we approach the season when UV rays become a concern. I don't know how it will feel from early summer to summer, but if I were to give it five stars right now, I'd give it SPF48PA++
I received a sample set. Thank you! I can't easily get my hands on these, so I'm grateful for the samples. Referring to the chart, I first used PO-01. It's more reddish than the "reddish-leaning mid-tone" and is the second-highest in brightness. Surprisingly, the brightness wasn't as bright as I expected, so I can see why it's such a popular shade. I usually go for a warm-toned shade, so I'm comfortable using this shade. On another day, I tried BO-02, which is also mid-tone among the "reddish-leaning mid-tones" and is rated as a popular and standard shade on the chart. It's suited to warm undertones. It seems a little dark when you actually apply it. Like the previous PO-01, it may be dark overall. Since BO-01, one shade lighter, is a popular shade, this one might be more suited to warm undertones. It's a 1ml sample, but the texture is almost dripping, and since I can't use it all, a small amount spreads easily, yet still provides a sense of coverage. Of course, the primer also plays a part. This is suited to those seeking strong coverage. Choosing a color can be a little difficult, so it might be a good idea to check it out carefully in the store, taking into account the lighting.
It spreads well and is easy to use. However, I found it a bit creased. I wonder if it's because I have sunscreen on the base, but I can't take it off because I work outside. It may also depend on the product's compatibility. If the SPF was a little higher, would this be enough?
