I use this before styling my 4-year-old child's hair. His hair is so smooth that even his braids come undone easily, so if I use this before styling his hair, it helps keep it together. The scent isn't too strong either.

As a guideline, for semi-long hair, apply about two pumps on the palm of your hand and spread well before applying! Oils are super useful in seasons when static electricity is a concern! Personally, I prefer the finish of Smooth Repair. Since there are different situations in which you want to use them, if you have both, you can use them as you like!

It has a classy scent that doesn't smell cheap! I use it at night before using the hair dryer and in the morning after curling my hair. It's fine for my hair that's just below my shoulders, but if it's long, it might hurt too much.
